Imported Revit 2011 lights have incorrect Emitter Shape sizes in 3ds Max 2011
There is an issue for users when importing Revit 2011 light into 3ds Max 2011 through FBX import.
Imported light emitter shape shows incorrect size.
As a result of that renders do not look similar when compared to 2010/2009 equivalent FBX files imported into 3ds Max 2011.
The workaround for this issue as follows :-
For best results, work in System Units: Feet in both applications in order for the Revit to 3ds Max FBX workflow to work smoothly.
To change project unit in Revit 2011 :-
- Click Manage tab -> Project Settings panel -> Project Units, or type the keyboard shortcut UN.
- In the Project Units dialog, select the discipline and change the unit
To change system unit in 3ds Max 2011 :-
- Choose Customize menu Units Setup.
- Click System Unit Setup.
