The easiest work flow for getting weather data into .wea format for Ecotect Analysis is to convert the TMY3 format to .EPW (this is the format used by EnergyPlus which is a US government’s energy simulation engine). To convert a .EPW file into .WEA format, simply open the Weather Tool in Ecotect Analysis, and drag and drop a weather file onto the Weather Tool screen, click the “Import File” button on the bottom right of the import dialog, and then choose Save As .WEA in the Weather Tool.
