Fatal errors in AutoCAD using the NVIDIA Performance Driver

Problem

In certain situations, AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based vertical products may crash while using MATCHPROP and some other commands when the NVIDIA Performance Driver is being used.

Solution

Switching to the Autodesk driver may resolve this issue.  To switch to the Autodesk driver:

  1. Run the 3DCONFIG command
  2. Click the Manual Tune button
  3. Switch the current driver to Autodesk
  4. Click OK to exit both dialogs
