2011: Launch warning reads "Some features may not be fully supported by the video card and driver on this computer"

Issue

When you launch Revit® you receive a warning dialog that reads Some features may not be fully supported by the video card and driver on this computer.

Solution

This message appears when your graphics driver and/or hardware is not listed as a card on the Revit 2011 Graphics Hardware List.  A card does not have to be listed in order for Revit to use it.

For more information regarding Supported Graphics Hardware, please refer to the Graphics Card FAQ document.

In order to support all Hardware Acceleration features in Revit 2011, your graphics card needs to support Shader Model 3.0 or greater.  If your card supports Shader Model 2.0 or less, you will not be able to turn on Hardware Acceleration in the product.

If your card supports Shader Model 3.0 or greater, then you can safely disregard any graphics hardware warning dialog boxes.

The list of cards includes only the cards that we have tested and committed to provide support for going forward.  This list should continue to grow as we complete testing on more cards.
