Prior Version Alignment Spiral HotfixAfter installing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 Update 2, if you open a drawing created in a previous version of Civil 3D, which contains an alignment with a spiral curve, you may see the alignment change. This Hotfix will resolve this issue and will correct the alignment geometry. Note: There are two different hotfixes for this issue. One is for users who have only Update 2 installed. The other is for users who have both Update 2 AND the Subscription Advantage Pack installed. If you are unsure which is appropriate for your application, please follow the instructions below to find out: - In Windows Explorer, browse to the Program Files directory:
- Windows 32 bit – C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010
- Windows 64 bit – C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010
- Find AeccMath.dll in the list, right-click and select Properties
- Note the version of this file:
- Windows Vista or Windows 7 – under the Details tab
- Windows XP – under the Version tab
- Rename the existing AeccMath.dll file to AeccMath.dll.old
- Place the appropriate file below in your Program Files directory:
- Users running ONLY Update 2 (existing version 7.0.1387.0):
aeccmath.dll.SP2 (dll - 768Kb) - Users running both Update 2 AND the Subscription Advantage Pack (existing version 7.0.2173.0):
aeccmath.dll.SAP (dll - 768Kb)
- Rename the downloaded file to aeccmath.dll
If after applying this hotfix with only Update 2 installed you then decide to apply the Subscription Advantage Pack, you will need to do the following:
- Rename the AeccMath.dll file to AeccMath.dll.Update2
- Rename AeccMath.dll.old to AeccMath.dll
- Apply the Subscription Advantage Pack
- Rename AeccMath.dll to AeccMath.dll.old
- Download the AeccMath.dll which targets the Subscription Advantage Pack (above)
- Place the file in the Program Files directory
For Update 2, if the version of AeccMath.dll is 7.0.1390.0, you already have this fix applied. For Update 2 AND the Subscription Advantage Pack, if the version of AeccMath.dll is 7.0.2180.0, you already have this fix applied.
