Autodesk Navisworks Services & Support

The application, installed as a network seat, does not start.

Issue

When you attempt to start Navisworks, installed as a network seat, the application does not start. A Reboot of the system, a repair, or a re-install, does not help.

Also, if you access the Windows Task manager and attempt to start the application, the Roamer.exe module (The main Navisworks application) appears in the program list and quickly disappears. There is no error message or Navisworks startup screen.

Solution

This particular issue is connected to a corrupt file connected to the License manager. To correct this issue, delete the “CascadeInfo.cas” file and restart the application. This file is located in one of two locations:

Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm
