Warning: Isolated nodes have been found

Issue

You are running a calculation of a structure, and you receive the following warning:

Solution

This message indicates that nodes defined in the model are not connected to the structure. There are two approaches you can take to identify the nodes; you can identify them during the calculation or before launching the calculation.

During the Calculation:

1. When the warning dialog appears, click Yes.
2. After the calculations run, in the selection nodes window, activate the pulldown and click on $NODISOL.
   
3. Press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete the isolated nodes.

Before Launching the Calculation:

1. In the Analysis menu, select Verification.
    
2. In the resulting Structure Verification dialog, highlight Isolated Node.
    
3. Click Close
4. To quickly identify the nodes, right-click on the Structure view and click Display.
5. Select the checkbox to Display attributes only for selected objects, as illustrated in the screenshot below:
    
6. Select Node Numbers and click Apply.
7. Press Delete to delete the isolated nodes.
