Inventor fails to start when the required version of .NET is missing IssueInventor may fail to start if your computer has the wrong version of the Microsoft .NET framework. The AutoCAD Inventor 2010 installer will provide the correct version of the Microsoft .NET Framework (version 3.5 SP1). In rare cases this installation will fail. In other cases, the installation or removal of other programs may uninstall the required version of the .NET framework from your computer.
SolutionVerify that you have the correct version of the .NET framework installed in the Add or Remove Programs control panel on XP (Programs and Features in Vista). If you do not have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed, you can install it here.
