Silent install (deployment) of Mudbox 2010

Issue

You have a network license of Mudbox and you want to create a client silent install (deployment) of Mudbox 2010.

Solution

The serial number & license type will be required for a client silent install (deployment) of Mudbox 2010. If you use the Mudbox2010.msi without any options, it will NOT prompt for this requirement and it will NOT install Mudbox properly.

Please follow the instructions below :

1. Insert the Autodesk Mudbox 2010 DVD onto the workstation.
2. Go to: Start > run > Type: cmd to open a command prompt and navigate to your DVD drive. For example,
   
   cd D:\Mudbox\Windows-64
   
   
3. Enter the following command and execute:

NOTE: This is all one 1 line!

msiexec /i "AutodeskMudbox2010.1.msi" ACADSERIALPREFIX=<Serial number first 3 numbers Prefix> ACADSERIALNUMBER=<Serial number without Prefix> ADLM_PRODKEY=<Product key> ADLMPRODUCTKEY=<Product key> ADLMLICENSETYPE=3 ACADSTANDALONENETWORKTYPE=3 ADLMSERVERNAME=YOUR_SERVER_NAME MUDADLMLICENSETYPE=1 /qn /LWE "c:\mudbox_2010_x86_log.txt"

If you have downloaded version of Autodesk_Mudbox_2010_English_Win_64bit.exe, the .msi files will extract to: C:\Autodesk\Mudbox2010.
