| Troubleshooting 101: Crashes, Errors, and Odd BehaviorIssueWhenever you start have problems (such as crashes, error messages, or strange behavior) with Softimage, try running runonce.bat and renaming your User folder. Especially if Softimage starts acting weirdly where just yesterday everything was just fine. Running runonce.bat and renaming your User folder is an easy way to reset Softimage to the factory default configuration. - runonce.bat does a lot of what happens during installation (it re-registers DLLs and SPDLs) and it is a lot faster than removing and then reinstalling Softimage.
- The User folder is where Softimage stores custom preferences as well as user-defined layouts, views, plugins and addons.
