Invalid product key

Issue

When you try to activate your license, you get an "invalid product key" error.

Solution

  1. If you have a Standalone license, the product key is 590B1. For a Network license, the product key is 591B1.
      
  2. If you have a Network license: activate your license at http://registeronce.autodesk.com.

    Do not try to activate your license when you start Softimage, and do not use the Network License Activation (NLA) tool.
      
  3. Check that you installed right version of Softimage 7.5. If you have a network license, you must install the Network version, not the Standalone version.

    To check, start Softimage 7.5. If you get the "No interactive network license available" message, then you have the Network version installed.

    If you have a Network license but you installed the Standalone version, then remove and reinstall Softimage. Select the Softimage Advanced software package: that installs the network version automatically.
