Unable to include Content Center into Inventor network deployment

Published date: 2009-Jul-27

Applies to:
Autodesk® Inventor™ Professional 2009
Autodesk® Inventor™ Suite 2009

Issue

You would like to know if it's possible to include Content Center components in a Inventor network deployment image.

Solution

You can not include Content Center components in network deployment image. ADMS (Autodesk Data Management Server), which manages Content Center, can not be installed through a deployment due to a limitation with Microsft SQL Express.

You can use one of below methods:

  • After Inventor is installed, insert the product media and manually install Content Center components.

Or

  • Install Content Center components on one of the machines and direct other clients to connect to it.
