"Access is denied" errors during satellite rendering

Issue

When you satellite render a scene that uses workgroup shaders, you see errors like this on the master computer:

' ERROR : LINK 1.n  error  191007: cannot load file://server/\\server\workgroup\Addons\BA_Shader_Collection_essential\Application\spdl\..\bin\nt-x86-64\BA_texture_fractal4d2.dll, Access is denied.

' ERROR : LINK 1.n  error  191029: failed to link library on host M4400 ' ERROR : PHEN 1.3  error  051011: shader "BA_texture_fractal4d2" not found.

Solution

Check the logon account used by the raysat service on the satellite computer. Either the logon account does not have the required permissions, or the logon account is the Local System account.

By default, the raysat service uses the Local System Account to log on. The Local System Account does not have access to network resources like shares and mapped drives. The raysat service has to use a logon account that has credentials (name and password).
