How to add the AutoCAD classic workspace to Map 3D

  1. At the command prompt, enter CUI.
  2. In the Customize User Interface dialog box, click on the Transfer tab.
  3. On the Transfer tab, under Customizations in New CUI File, click the Open customization file icon.
  4. Navigate to a folder like one of the following:

    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\application data\autodesk\autocad map 3d 2010\r18.0\enu\support\ 
    Windows Vista: C:\Users\<user name>\appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad map 3d 2010\r18.0\enu\support\ Windows 7: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD Map 3D 2011\R18.1\enu\Support
     
  5. Select the file acad.cuix.
  6. In the left pane, expand Workspaces.
  7. In the right pane, expand Workspaces.
  8. Drag the AutoCAD Classic workspace from the right pane onto Workspaces in the left pane.
  9. Click OK.

The next time AutoCAD Map is started the new workspace will be available.
