Stitcher fails to start without an error message

Issue

You were unable to start Autodesk® Stitcher™, and in the installation folder, a file named adlmerr.log was created.

Solution

The relevant lines in the adlmerr.log file are as following:

5720 2008/12/22 13:51:10 Reason=Fatal error
5720 2008/12/22 13:51:10 File=AdlmIntLicense.cpp,Line=465
5720 2008/12/22 13:51:10 VendorID=6 [ADLMPIT]
5720 2008/12/22 13:51:10 VendorError=25 [Error has occured while parsing Product Information Table file]

The cause of this error is a corruption of the ProductInformation.pit file in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm caused by a prior installation of Autodesk beta software.

To resolve this error:

  1. Uninstall Stitcher™ Unlimited 2009.
  2. Rename or delete the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm\ProductInformation.pit file.
  3. Reinstall Stitcher Unlimited 2009.

A new ProductInformation.pit file will be created. You will now be able to start Stitcher Unlimited 2009 and activate the license.
