Known issues and limitations with ImageModeler

Issue

Solution

The following is a list of the currently known issues affecting ImageModeler:

  • Random viewport freezes have been reported on Windows Vista™ operating systems with NVIDIA® Professional Quadro® FX graphics cards installed. Autodesk is currently investigating the problem with the hardware vendor.
  • Repeated use of the Undo/Redo commands may lead to instability.
  • The Undo command is not available for all actions. As a result, the Undo command may sometimes be applied to more than just the previous action.
  • When using Texture Extraction, the visibility buffer is computed incorrectly for images with high rates of distortion.
  • Text and materials are not imported properly from OBJ files into ImageModeler if the associated MTL files (material files) contain spaces in the description fields of the texture file names.
  • Recalibrating a scene scales down the 3D models already created. This may occur if no coordinate system was set before recalibrating. To avoid this issue, verify that a coordinate system exists before recalibrating a scene. If one does not exist, create a new one using the Worldspace tool. This will prevent the objects from moving.
  • Loading the same panorama twice does not change or increment the name in the Scene Browser, unlike when loading images.
  • If the operating system's date is modified while running ImageModeler in TRIAL mode, you will be unable to start the application again. The only workaround is to activate ImageModeler using the serial number provided to you at the time of the purchase.
