Clean uninstall of Autodesk Inventor 2009IssueYou may experience problems when installing Autodesk® Inventor™ after failed installs or uninstalls of other Autodesk products. In these cases, it is strongly recommended that you completely remove Inventor from the system and then attempt a new installation on the cleaned system. SolutionTo uninstall Autodesk Inventor and remove any remnants of this product from the system, follow these steps: - Log on to Windows as a Local System Administrator and disable any virus-scanning programs.
- In Windows Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs and then remove Autodesk Inventor 2009.
- Using Windows Explorer, locate and delete the following folders as appropriate:
Microsoft Vista 64-bit installations
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
- C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
- C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
Microsoft Vista 32-bit installations
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
- C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
- C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
Microsoft XP 32-bit installations

- Click Start menu (Windows) > Run.
- In the Run dialog box, enter regedit
- In the Registry Editor, locate and delete the following registry keys as appropriate:
32-bit versions of Vista and XP
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion13.x
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\ Inventor\RegistryVersion13.
64-bit versions of Vista and XP
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion13.x
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\ Inventor\RegistryVersion13.x
You will now have a clean system on which you can install Autodesk Inventor. Note: If Vault is installed, you will need to perform a change/repair in Add or Remove Programs (Windows) to fix the integration. Warning!
