| Enabling the Vault toolbarIssueYou installed either Mechanical Desktop or AutoCAD Mechanical with an existing Inventor installation. However, you were not able to locate the Vault toolbar, even after you repaired your Vault 2009 client installation. SolutionTo enable the Vault toolbar - Close all open programs.
- On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings > Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, select the Autodesk Vault 2009 (Client) product, and then click either Uninstall/Change or Change/Remove depending on your version of Windows.
- In the Vault installation wizard (Maintenance mode), click Add/Remove Features.
- On the Add/Remove Features menu, locate the relevant Mechanical Desktop or AutoCAD Mechanical Add-in, and then make sure that the add-in is selected (see image below).

- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
You should now be able to see and use your Vault toolbar.
