After you successfully registered and activated your AutoCAD®-based software, you received a license status error and you were prompted for reactivation.

There are several issues that can cause the standalone software license to break. You should review the following causes of this behavior:

  • Screenshots of any error messages encountered
  • System Information (NFO) file  
  • Windows Event Logs (EVT)
  • Adlm*.err file from %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2008\R17.1\ADLM
    • Note: This path will vary depending on the specific product and versions. For Revit, this file is called LicenseErrorLog.txt and can be found in the Program subdirectory of the installation location.
