Error: acad.exe - Entry Point Not FoundIssueWhen you started AutoCAD, you received an error message similar to the message below. acad.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point <Name> could not be located in the dynamic link library acdb16.dll. SolutionThis error is typically experienced after you have either installed several products or installed an update or service pack. This issue occurs because the DLL reference in the error message is the wrong version. This happens when a DLL has been copied to a location on the system other than the default location. In this error message (see illustration below), acdb16.dll is the DLL in question. This DLL should only be found in the following default location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared. To resolve the error, search the local hard drive for extra copies of the affected DLL. You should then remove or rename the extra files. |
