Competition theme

Significant macroeconomic trends are making design more significant in our world, particularly in the world of business, than ever before. These are challenges that designers, architects, engineers and digital artists face today. Autodesk equips them with the technologies they need to address these challenges to take advantage of opportunities afforded.

Significant trends include:

  • Globalization: The digital life has enabled rapid globalization; now everyone can collaborate and compete with everyone else, increasing commoditization and the need for great design as a competitive differentiator.
  • Climate Change and the Rising Cost of Energy: These trends are affecting the overall health of the planet and the global cost of energy, giving rise to the sustainable design movement.
