Interoperability with Structural Analysis Software
AutoCAD® Structural Detailing software smoothly imports structural steel models created in Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis Professional software, as well as CIS/2 files for more rapid 3D assembly, detailing, and structural analysis. The reinforcement detailing capability also imports reinforcement data from Robot Structural Analysis Professional for automatic generation of reinforcement drawings for selected elements. Several formats are available for data export, and structural steel drawings can be sent to computer numeric controlled (CNC) fabrication machines.

Import Revit Data
Using the Reinforcement Drawing Extension, you can export reinforcement data from Autodesk® Revit® software for structural engineering and import to AutoCAD Structural Detailing to help in the generation of 2D reinforcement drawings. Generate reinforcement drawings based on a selected national code. You can also import a structural steel model created in Revit, where additional detail can be added to help in the completion of the structural model.

Bidirectional Link with Autodesk Revit
The exchange of a steel structural model is enhanced with curved elements and groups. Mapping capabilities help structural engineers and drafters to identify the element cross-sections between AutoCAD Structural Detailing and Revit software for structural engineering. To take advantage of this functionality, structural engineers and drafters should install Revit® Extensions, available with Autodesk® Subscription.
