Charles J. Robel

Chuck Robel is a retired Silicon Valley executive and private investor.  He spent 26 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as the partner running its Silicon Valley Software Services Group from 1985 until the mid 1990s.  Robel subsequently managed the Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Group until his retirement in 2000.  From 2000 through 2005 he was a general partner at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, a leading software industry venture capital firm.

Robel currently serves as a director of Palo Alto Networks, a lead director of Informatica Corp., and also a lead director of Jive Software. In addition, he serves on the board of several private companies. He previously served on the board of directors of Adaptec, Inc., Borland Software Corporation, McAfee, Inc. and DemandTec, Inc.

Robel has a BS in accounting from Arizona State University.
