The AutoCAD® Civil 3D® Importer utility offers a fully automated data exchange solution that enables the direct import of Civil 3D model data into Trimble® Business Center - HCE software. This utility extends the capabilities of Trimble Business Center - HCE to read intelligent Civil 3D model elements such as alignments, profiles, COGO points, and roadway corridor models. The result is a more streamlined process that helps construction professionals use civil BIM data for construction data preparation and site-positioning and grade-control operations.

• Retains the intelligence of the Civil 3D source model and facilitates creation of a construction-ready 3D model
• Offers improved DWG file format support (including RealDWG™)
• Minimizes the need to create specific files for contractors before they start the bidding or construction process

Additional Information

The AutoCAD Civil 3D Importer for Trimble Business Center - HCE requires the installation of any language version of Trimble® Business Center - HCE version 1.4.

The Importer utility can access 2010 or earlier DWG files, and replaces the standard AutoCAD® DWG import capability that ships in Trimble Business Center - HCE. The installation of AutoCAD Civil 3D is not required to use this utility.
