Internet-based Autodesk® Constructware® project management software can be accessed from anywhere via a web browser, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You have the freedom to conduct business from anywhere and not be tied to a LAN-based system.
Project and company information is stored in a single, powerful database. This centralized data store minimizes the need for multiple logins to a project website. In addition, because data is stored in a central location, decision makers can quickly view information and run reports across the enterprise.
Productivity is enhanced because documents are stored online and easily accessed—reducing confusion between the field and the office. Complex construction processes, including RFIs (requests for information), transmittals, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and reports, are created, tracked, and stored in the system. Correspondence is streamlined since it can be saved once and sent to multiple companies. Duplicate and erroneous information is virtually eliminated since all project information is stored in one place—significantly improving workflow.
A featured toolset of the Autodesk Constructware application, File Management reduces the pain of project management and collaboration in the design phase, as well as construction administration.
Features include the following:
Real-time message tracking and time/date stamps on all communication transactions significantly increase accountability, both internally and externally. Project team members can easily view outstanding meeting items and ball-in-court status.
Use the Executive Dashboard to easily review all projects at the summary level, and then drill down to individual projects and documents for more information. By reviewing job costs, tracking and managing pending change orders, viewing contract histories, and tracking late or missing information, you can better manage risk exposure.
Using Autodesk Constructware can significantly reduce administrative costs. Reduce copying/filing/faxing, generate reports automatically, process meeting minutes quickly, and centralize purchase order tracking. Because Constructware helps keep all parties accountable, you are much less likely to incur legal expenses from project disputes. If a dispute occurs, discovery costs are greatly reduced because Constructware documents reside on a single database.
Autodesk Constructware maintains two levels of security for every user. First, you have the ability to control the projects each user can access. Second, you can control which modules each user can view. If access is given to a module, you can then grant up to eight levels of security within that module (view, delete, change, and so forth). Users also have controlled access to their accounts with a unique username and password. Combined, these security settings help to ensure that your confidential data remains confidential, regardless of the number of users.
