To run Softimage, you can be a Restricted user (Users), Standard user (Power Users), or Administrator.
To install and license Softimage, you must be an Administrator.
Autodesk does not support 32-bit applications running on 64-bit machines.
A license for Softimage will activate both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of Softimage. The setups for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions can be run from the Softimage DVD or accessed via download.
Linux® operating system
Softimage 2013 is also capable of running on other configurations, such as boutique distributions of Linux. However, enumerating systems that are not tested and cannot be supported or that fall below the requirements for a productive user experience is beyond the scope of the online certification charts.
