New Opportunities for Green Design
As calls for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resound globally, the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry must answer. After all, buildings—not vehicles or industry—are the leading source of GHG emissions, a fact not known to 95 percent of Americans. While the collapsing housing market precludes new green building projects in most countries, government stimulus money has revitalized green retrofit and renovation opportunities in the United States and beyond. In this time of shifting priorities and industry-wide transformation, Autodesk recognizes that the AEC industry must gird itself for tectonic changes.
