AutoCAD Civil 3D Webcast Series: Water & Wastewater Engineering with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Date & Time: Friday, December 18, 2009, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time
To attend the webcast, simply complete the brief form below.
Description:
The process of building a water/wastewater system and treatment plant involves a diverse group of consultants, including civil, mechanical, electrical and structural engineers, plant designers, and more.
Today, it is critical that these stakeholders work optimally together to develop the infrastructure that allows for the effective management and use of water resources, while maintaining appropriate levels of environmental protection.
This webcast will take a look at the aspects of water/wastewater design that involve the civil engineer. We’ll look at geospatial tools for site selection, conveyance system analysis and the creation of environmental permitting exhibits. Next, we’ll create a treatment plant site plan and build pipe networks to convey water and sewer. Finally, we’ll use interoperability tools and Autodesk® Navisworks® to combine the civil engineering design with the work of the mechanical, electrical and structural engineers to check for clashes and confirm the design intent.
