MapGuide Enterprise 2007 Migration

Description
This course is designed to teach the techniques for migrating existing Autodesk MapGuide applications to the MapGuide Enterprise 2007.

Audience
This course is for developers, distributors, resellers, and experienced users of Autodesk MapGuide interested in migrating existing applications to MapGuide Enterprise 2007.

Prerequisites
An understanding of Autodesk MapGuide Viewer application development and familiarity with ASP.Net, VB.Net or C# is required. Familiarity with the Autodesk MapGuide Studio and map authoring process using the Autodesk MapGuide Studio 

Webcast attendees must have access to a telephone and high-speed internet connection.

Content
This course provides an introduction to the API components of MapGuide Enterprise 2007 (Web Tier, Studio and the Viewer), highlighting the difference between the structure of existing Autodesk MapGuide applications and applications developed on MapGuide Enterprise 2007. 

Issues involved in application migration will be discussed. There will be sample migration tasks as well as hands-on exercises (in the class-based sessions) to show the procedure for application migration.
