Autodesk Authorized On-Campus Program Overview
The Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Education Program offers substantial discounts on industry-standard software. The Autodesk Authorized On-Campus Reseller program is designed to meet the various purchasing needs of your educational institution and its students and faculty while maintaining our antipiracy standards and consistency among our academic resellers. Autodesk Authorized On-Campus Resellers must be located on or near the institution campus that they are serving and must agree to uphold our program integrity with internal processes to ensure accurate validation of educational end users.
Autodesk On-Campus Reseller Program Requirements
- Be an on-campus bookstore serving a state-accredited two-year or four-year college or university within the United States.
- Be located within one mile of the educational institution with which the on-campus reseller is affiliated.
- Agree not to sell Autodesk Student Version software or Autodesk Media and Entertainment student software to educational institutions for classroom instruction.
- Sell software to authorized “Education End Users,” defined as educational institutions and their qualified students, faculty, and staff in the United States only. Review the qualifications as defined below.
- Accept purchases from Education End Users, completing the verification and purchase requirements outlined below.
- Identify one Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment software specialist on staff who is knowledgeable about academic software products, programs, and policies of both Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment.
Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Education End-User Qualifications
"Educational institutions" are defined as those dedicated to education, including a public or private, elementary or secondary school or a two-year or four-year college or university or career school that is accredited by a state or other appropriate governmental agency or organization. An educational institution is not a government or nonprofit agency, a commercial customer, a corporate training environment, or other training program or center that serves commercial or professional customers.
A "student" is a person enrolled for at least three credit hours at a degree-granting educational institution or a nine-month certificate-granting educational institution, or a person who can confirm enrollment at a kindergarten through grade 12 educational institution.
"Faculty" and "staff" means those faculty and staff who are employed at an educational institution.
Autodesk Institution End-User Verification and Purchase Requirements
Educational institutions must purchase software by an institution purchase order or documentation issued by the institution. The following Autodesk software titles are available to educational institutions under the Autodesk Authorized On-Campus Reseller Authorization:
AutoCAD®: institution licensing
AutoCAD LT®: single license and lab pack configurations
AutoSketch®: single license and lab pack configurations
Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Student, Faculty, and Staff End-User Verification and Purchase Requirements
Students, faculty, and staff must present one of the following to purchase Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment student software: (1) current student ID, or (2) confirmation of course registration printed with the educational institution’s seal or logo, or (3) letter from the registrar’s office printed with the educational institution’s seal or logo confirming current enrollment or employment at the educational institution, or (4) current proof of employment at the educational institution such as a current pay stub issued by it. Students, faculty, and staff must purchase Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment student software with a personal check, credit card, or cash. They may purchase one license of each Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment software title and release, as follows:

Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Education End-User Software License Terms
An educational institution, or a student or a faculty or staff member at the institution, may use Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment academic software licenses for educational purposes only and not for commercial for-profit work, transfer, or resale.
Autodesk Student Version and Autodesk Media and Entertainment student software is specifically designed for personal use only by students, faculty, and staff. It has been specifically designed for educational use and includes soft-locking and onscreen features that make it unsuitable for a professional production environment or classroom instruction. Autodesk Student Version software includes an additional print-plot banner feature designed to print in the margin of all drawings created, modified, or saved using an Autodesk Student Version license.
Education end users are bound by the terms and conditions of the Education End-User Software License Agreement included online or in the Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment product packaging. Education end users cannot sell, transfer, modify, or copy the Autodesk or Autodesk Media and Entertainment software license. Educational institutions and their students, faculty, and staff cannot use Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment software for commercial or for-profit purposes. The software is for educational purposes only. Student software is not for use by an educational institution for classroom instruction.
Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Piracy Guideline
Autodesk Authorized Off-Campus Resellers must notify Autodesk promptly in writing if they discover any unauthorized use of the Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment academic software or any infringement of Autodesk’s or Autodesk Media and Entertainment's patent, copyright, trade secret, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. Resellers may not distribute any Autodesk or Autodesk Media and Entertainment software license to any person or entity if the resellers are aware that such person or entity might be involved in potential unauthorized use of the software or other infringement of Autodesk’s or Autodesk Media and Entertainment's proprietary rights.
Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment Technical Support Requirements
Resellers must provide customers with basic installation and technical user support options available from Autodesk or an Autodesk Authorized Academic Distributor for both Autodesk and Autodesk Media and Entertainment academic software.
