Automationforce provides electrical substation design toolkits that extend the capabilities of Autodesk® Inventor® 2013 and AutoCAD® Electrical software 2013with discipline-specific content, workflows, and design rules. Substation Designer for Autodesk® Inventor® softwarefor 3D physical design, and Substation Designer for AutoCAD® Electrical software for the relay protection and controls design, enable utility companies, engineering firms, rail owner/operators, and others to more quickly and accurately design substations by automating much of the process. In addition to the toolkits, Automationforce delivers cloud-based substation design training which is included with the toolkit purchases.

Some of the key capabilities provided by the toolkit for physical design include design checks; drawing package automation; and tools for grounding, bare cabling, trench, conduit, and lightning protection design. For the relay protection and controls design, key capabilities include symbol libraries; raster editing tools; panel layout and panel wiring diagrams; and tools for relay, test switch, and circuit editing.
