Award Submission Process

Criteria

Winners are selected based upon the following criteria:

  • Degree of experience with BIM projects—completion of at least 2 building projects through construction documentation or significant progress on at least 2 infrastructure projects using core building information modeling (BIM) products, including 1 or more of the Autodesk® Revit® platform products and/or AutoCAD® Civil 3D® software.
  • Value delivered in specific areas of practice—use of core BIM products and other Autodesk products that complement the BIM process to achieve high quality results for design, simulation and analysis, documentation, and project delivery, and to facilitate sustainable development, integrated project delivery, digital design-to-fabrication, or conceptual design.
  • Extent of collaboration and file-sharing—integration of the Revit model or Civil 3D model with 1 or more disciplines and/or tools for conceptual design, sustainable design, analysis, fabrication, construction, or visualization.

About BIM

BIM is an integrated process that allows architects, engineers, builders, and owners to explore a project’s key physical and functional characteristics digitally—before it’s built. Coordinated, consistent information is used throughout the process to help you:

  • Design innovative projects from the very earliest stages
  • Visualize, simulate, and analyze real-world appearance, performance, and cost
  • Document the project accurately and efficiently
  • Deliver projects faster, more economically, and with reduced environmental impact
