Autodesk, in partnership with the Clean Tech Open, hosted the California Clean Tech Open Symposium at the Autodesk Gallery at One Market in San Francisco. The symposium had over 300 attendees and focused on the topic "Renewable Energy: Reducing Capital Intensity and Succeeding." Speakers and panelists provided fresh perspectives on the regulatory, technology, investing, and utility challenges involved in renewable energy. The ESDC brings together leaders in industry, business and government to identify and break down the barriers that prevent the implementation of sustainable design solutions within industries. On February 4th, senior level officials gathered at the residence of the British Ambassador to France for an initial kick-off meeting. Hosted by British Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott, along with Autodesk and HEC School of Management, attendees discussed the importance of design in the move towards a more sustainable planet and explored what a dedicated group of leaders from the public and private sector could do to further the widespread implementation of sustainable design.
