Location Services
Autodesk Location Services, a division of Autodesk, Inc., provides a complete solution that enables wireless network operators to quickly and reliably offer location-based services to their subscribers. Its offering consists of a highly scaleable, open standards-based platform; market-ready, white-label applications; content integration; and professional services. Applications include Autodesk Insight™ and Autodesk® Family Minder.

Autodesk’s Media and Entertainment solutions empower digital artists to realize their ideas, transforming their most evocative and ambitious visions into reality. Our award-winning products are designed for digital media creation, management, and delivery across all disciplines, from film and television visual effects, color grading, and editing to animation, game development, and design visualization.
Autodesk’s Media and Entertainment Division is based in Montreal, Quebec. It was established in 1999 after Autodesk, Inc. acquired Discreet Logic, Inc. and merged its operations with Kinetix. In January 2006, Autodesk acquired Alias, a developer of 3D graphics technology.

Manufacturing Solutions
The Manufacturing Solutions Division develops software used in various manufacturing segments including industrial machinery, electro-mechanical, tool and die, industrial equipment, automotive components, and consumer products. Autodesk’s family of products deliver the benefits of digital prototyping, including increased productivity and reduced cycle times.
Autodesk’s portfolio of manufacturing products includes: Autodesk® Inventor™ Suite, Autodesk Inventor Professional, Autodesk Inventor LT, AutoCAD® Mechanical, AutoCAD® Electrical, Autodesk® Productstream®, Autodesk® Vault, and Autodesk Streamline®. We also offer conceptual design software from the recent Alias acquisition, including the Alias® StudioTools™ family of products.
Platform Solutions & Emerging Business (PSEB)
The Platform Solutions and Emerging Business Division delivers the product foundation for most Autodesk offerings across multiple markets. From general design and drafting products that are used by millions of professionals worldwide to collaboration tools that enable management, control, and sharing of project information, PSEB provides the basis for market-tailored products and solutions.
Products include: AutoCAD®, AutoCAD LT®, Autodesk® Design Review, Autodesk® DWF™ Viewer, AutoSketch®, and Autodesk® Freewheel™. PSEB also encompasses our Geospatial and Plant Solutions business units.
The Geospatial Business Unit provides mapping and infrastructure-management solutions so geospatial professionals and civil engineers can collaborate and share mapping and design information to achieve faster time to productivity, streamline business processes, increase profit margins, deliver better services, and extract greater value from design data. Geospatial products include: AutoCAD® Map 3D, Autodesk MapGuide® Enterprise, Autodesk Topobase, and AutoCAD® Raster Design.
The Plant Solutions Business Unit was created in January 2007 to serve the booming market for plant facility construction and modification to meet environmental compliance or performance requirements. The group’s initial product is AutoCAD® P&ID, a key application in a forthcoming suite of products.
