Getting Started Videos
The Getting Started Videos show basic concepts for a variety of core AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 features.
The Tutorials offer an in-depth guided tour of the major features, using realistic engineering drawings and data. It is recommended that you explore the tutorials after you have read through the Getting Started section in the User’s Guide. The tutorials and sample data sets are included on the product media.
Skill Builders are advanced learning exercises that enable you to practice performing design tasks using drawings and data. New Skill Builders are posted periodically to the AutoCAD Civil 3D Skill Builders website.
The User’s Guide describes concepts, and provides step-by-step procedures as well as quick reference information.
The Subassembly Reference provides conceptual and reference information for AutoCAD Civil 3D subassemblies, which are drawing objects that define the geometry of the components used in corridor sections.
Best Practices Guide
The Best Practices Guide provides information on how to be efficient and productive with AutoCAD Civil 3D. The best practices were developed by civil engineers, including customers and developers.
Moving from Land Desktop to Civil 3D Guide*
The Moving from Land Desktop guide is intended to help you transition from using AutoCAD Land Desktop to using AutoCAD Civil 3D as your primary engineering design application. It will help you understand the many benefits of moving, how your current workflows may change as a result of the move, and how to prepare for the move.
