Autodesk FBX Services & Support

Compatibility Chart

Autodesk FBX technology helps to enable the interchange of 3D data between the following Autodesk products: Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Autodesk® Maya®, Autodesk® Softimage®, Autodesk® MotionBuilder®, Autodesk® Mudbox®, Autodesk® Smoke® and Autodesk® Flame® software.  Consult the compatibility charts below to learn about the level of support for these applications.

Autodesk is constantly improving our interchange support, which means that these compatibility charts are always in flux and are updated on a regular basis. The charts also change with new FBX releases. We need your help and feedback in order to make the charts as useful as possible. Please report any inconsistencies or errors to us.

This FBX compatibility chart explains what's supported and at what level when exporting from Autodesk 3ds Max to Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Softimage, Autodesk Showcase, Autodesk Smoke/Flame, Autodesk MotionBuilder, Autodesk Mudbox, or Autodesk® Showcase® software.
