Join the AREA
The AREA (www.the-area.com) is a community portal focused on artists and developers using Autodesk® 3D animation products. The site focuses on content created using Autodesk® Maya®, Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Autodesk® Motion Builder™ or Autodesk® VIZ used in games, film, post production or design visualization. Membership is free.

The site creates a central repository of 3D content created by the Autodesk 3D community for the community—fostering collaboration and networking.  The site includes:   

• Tips & Tutorials for beginner, intermediate and advanced users 
• Downloads for product trials, textures and shaders, plug-ins and scripts
• Showcase that will include image and movie galleries, member portfolios and “Behind the Screenz”, a section containing stories focused on artists and developers
• Blogs—from Autodesk product development as well as community members
• Discussion Groups
