Autodesk Learning Assistance Viewer 2.1

This version of Autodesk Learning Assistance (ALA) will update any Autodesk Learning Assistance viewer with the latest features and functionality. The viewer is required to use the downloaded version of Autodesk's online lessons.

Download this version to install ALA and update your Media Player and MSIE components from the Web.

  1. Save the file alawebsetup.exe to a temporary directory.
  2. Double-click alawebsetup.exe and follow the installation instructions.

Autodesk Learning Assistance Development Kit 2.1

  1. Create, distribute, and install your own content for the Autodesk Learning Assistance. This kit requires the Autodesk Learning Assistance that ships with AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD LT 2000.
  2. To download and install the Autodesk Learning Assistance Development Kit:
  3. Make sure Autodesk Learning Assistance is installed on your computer.
    • If you have an earlier ALA Development Kit installed, uninstall it:
    • In the ALA menu bar, click View, then click Options.
    • In the Options dialog box, click the Volumes tab.
    • In the volume list, select either "ALA Development Kit" or "AU Creating ALA Content", then click Remove.
    • In the Autodesk Learning Assistance dialog box, click Yes to remove the volume.
    • In the Options dialog box, click OK to close.
  4. Create a local folder where you want the ALA Development Kit located. Do not create the folder in the Autodesk Learning Assistance program folder.
  5. Click the link Download ALA Development Kit and save the ZIP file to the folder you just created.
  6. Unzip ALA-Kit.zip with the "Use Folder Names" check box selected.
  7. Double-click the file ALA-Kit.ala and accept the installation defaults.
