1. What is this promotion?

This promotion is designed to promote the purchase of Autodesk® BIM and Digital Prototyping software, along with training and implementation services. Autodesk believes that customers who are properly trained will receive a greater return on their Autodesk software investment.

U.S. and Canadian customers who purchase qualifying Autodesk AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) and Manufacturing software during the promotion period and receive qualifying training or implementation services from authorized resellers are eligible for a voucher to be used towards training and/or implementation services.

To qualify for the voucher, customers must purchase qualifying Autodesk AEC or Manufacturing software (outlined in Question #4) from August 16, 2010 through October 31, 2010, and complete the training or implementation services by December 31, 2010. Each individual customer who is trained must complete a short on-line evaluation at the conclusion of the training.

2. Which customers can participate in this promotion?

This offer is available to the following customers who purchase qualifying AEC and Manufacturing software from August 16, 2010 through October 31, 2010:

  • Commercial customers in the U.S. and Canada
  • U.S. Government (Federal/State/Local) customers
  • Canadian Government (DISO) customers

3. Who is not eligible for this promotion?

  • Education customers and Education customers migrating from Education to Commercial product
  • Commercial or Government customers in Latin America
  • Customers purchasing software from the online Autodesk Store
  • Autodesk Strategic Accounts in the United States and Canada

4. Which Autodesk AEC and Manufacturing products are eligible for the promotion?

New licenses and upgrades which were formerly referred to as crossgrades to the below AEC and Manufacturing products are eligible for this promotion. Note: customers purchasing retro-active subscription or upgrading from their current product to a later release version of the same product do not qualify. Customers who purchase 1-5 new licenses or upgrades are eligible for US$200 *per license purchased to be used towards training and/or implementation services. Customers who purchase 6 or more new licenses or upgrades are eligible for US$300 *per license purchased to be used towards training and/or implementation services. Customers who purchase one of the premium Manufacturing products (outlined below) are eligible for US$2,500 *per license purchased to be used towards training and/or implementation services.

*The maximum amount that any customer may redeem towards training or implementation services is US$10,000.

5. How much is the customer voucher and is there a limit?

For 1-5 new licenses or upgrades purchased, the customer training/implementation voucher is US$200 per seat of qualifying software purchased. For 6 or more new licenses or upgrades purchased, the customer training/implementation voucher is US$300 per seat of qualifying software purchased. Customers who purchase one of the “premium” Manufacturing products listed above are eligible for US$2,500 per seat of qualifying software purchased. Customers are limited to one voucher per seat of qualifying software purchased with a maximum redeemable about of US$10,000. Customers may use the voucher(s) toward training or implementation services to offset their cost.

6. What are the steps and information required for a customer to receive training voucher?

In order for customers to receive the training/implementation voucher, they must insure the following is completed:

  • Customer purchases a qualifying AEC or Manufacturing product outlined in question #4.
  • Customer purchases and completes training or implementation services through the AEC or Manufacturing authorized Autodesk reseller.
  • Customer completes the Post Training Survey at www.autodesk.com/trainingvoucherpromo. The customer post training survey will include the following:
    • Customer Name
    • Customer Validation Number (obtained from reseller)
    • Which products were you trained on?
    • What was the date your training and/or implementation took place?
    • Which Autodesk Authorized Reseller completed your training?
    • How would you rate the quality of the training and/or implementation?

7. What are the requirements for the training to be eligible for this AEC and Manufacturing Voucher/Implementation Promotion?

To be eligible for the voucher, customers must attend a classroom training class, on-site training class, or complete implementation services for one of the above named AEC or Manufacturing products. The training or implementation services must be completed by December 31, 2010.

8. What if a customer purchases from one Autodesk reseller but another Autodesk reseller provides the training or implementation services?

The reseller who sells the qualifying software must be the reseller that sells and completes the training or implementation services for the customer in order for the customer to receive the voucher.

9. What are the dates of the promotional offer?

The Q3 AEC and Manufacturing Training/Implementation Voucher Promotion are available to customers making qualifying Autodesk AEC or Manufacturing software purchases from August 16, 2010 through October 31, 2010. Purchases made after October 31, 2010 do not qualify for this promotion. The training or implementation services must be completed by December 31, 2010.

10. Can customers apply the training vouchers for multiple seats purchased to a different amount of people getting trained?

Yes, customers who purchase multiple licenses of qualifying software may choose to train a different amount of people. For example, a customer purchases 4 licenses of AutoCAD Inventor Suite and obtains a training voucher for $800. This customer could train 1 person and apply the $800 voucher towards that person’s training class. Alternatively, they could train 5 people and apply the $800 to the total training expense.
